2-3 shift issues
whenever i am hard acceleration 2nd gear and go to shift to 3rd it doesnt let me get into 3rd..
it almost feels like the gate is closed... i then let off and let the revs fall and it lets me shift into 3rd. this kills my time and makes me look like i cant drive.
my question is what RPM do you all shift at to get a great 2-3 shift ?

That should not be the case. You have either a mechanical issue or driver error. If you are confident it's not you, get your car into the dealer for service.

This sounds odd, because the 1-4 shift pattern is supposed to work at lower rpm's to save gas. This would lock out 2 and 3, and force you to go to 4th when traveling at lower speeds. However, whenever I would accelerate keeping the revs up, it would never lock out 2nd or third. In truth, lot of times I just shift from 1st to 3rd. It saves on that extra shift, and the car runs pretty smoothly that way under normal driving conditions.
You can get a cags bypass to eliminate this in your car. It fits into the wiring harness, and stops this shift lockout.
Also, I had Chuck at Corvettes of Westchester tune my car. His tuning eliminates the need for the cags insert, and stops this problem. It also improves other aspects of the cars performance.
When you do your shifts, make note of the RPMs that it effects, such as 6500, 6000, 5500, etc.
My shift issues from 2-3 went away anything UNDER 5000 rpms. After I installed the TICK and tuned the fluid flow, I had no more issues.
Another thing to test is, check to see if your clutch is fully disengaging.
A simple test:
Find very wide open parking lot.
Let car idle facing large open spot in parking lot (no obstructions or obstacles)
Press in clutch pedal fully to floor and continue to hold in.... While holding pedal to floor, bring RPMs up to 6500 for 10 seconds. Does car move? if NO, try test #2.....
Second test is same as first, but this time, press the clutch pedal in and hold it in for 30 seconds THEN rev up the car to 6500 RPMs. Does car begin to move?
My car did NOT move on the first test, but sure as hell moved when I held the clutch in for 30 seconds, then brought RPMs up to 6500. So, when I installed teh TICK and adjusted the pressure of the fluid, my car no longer moved when the clutch pedal was pressed in (symbolizing the pressure plate was not fully disengaging) and, my shift issues went away.
I am not sure if this would be the same for a C6, but its an easy test, and its free to try.
Problem is, at WOT the adrenalin is flowing and you can push the shifter too hard sideways if you "grab it" and miss the shift. If you let the spring in the shifter do the work to go from the 1-2 "slot" sideways over to the "3-4" slot, it will get it right and you'll slide nicely into third, use your hand to only provide forward motion. Kinda freaky cause you think you might go down to 1st instead of up to 3rd, but hat is what the spring is designed to prevent ( I think). Practice it and its easy to do fast at any RPM
Also look into an MGW shifter, it's shorter throw and stronger spring help a lot.

Practice it and see for yourself.
I just tryed again before not on the track and no problem
so my feeling is at the track adrenaline and revs are flowing... and it is driver error...
so probably what is happening is i am hitting the gate slightly sideways or something of that sorts...
i did have the car checked out with the 3rd gear cold syncro TSB but no fix or real problem with it
I wanna do the MGW eventually...
for now I will try to watch how i shift which technique i use
