Default 2008 NPP - Mild 2 Wild?

I have a 2005 Vert stock that I am installing a 08 NPP exhaust.

Which Mild/Wild kit do you all recommend?
What else do I need to install?

Thanks everyone

They are all the same pretty much, except for LG's "The MAN SWITCH".Operation is virtually the same I would imagine on that too though except you push a button on the shifter.

Sunset Orange Creations, you can set em to start open or closed and no battery drain issues.

You will probably need NPP in a box too.

If you have ever used a soldering iron before, you can make your own man switch. I made and installed mine tonight. It's just a manual switch at the bottom of the panel underneath the steering wheel. If you want, I can take some pictures and share.

I have looked into this and all of the resellers here sell NPP in a box, never has drain, allows you to start the car open or closed and had some good endorcements, clear instruction. When I added my npp's this is what I used and found out so did many of the other owners I came across. Found the best feature was the free eztap, it saved me an hour and some busted nuckles.

LINK

VetteDoctors (Carmen) “npp in a box is the best on the market. Very easy to install & your service is second to none.”

East Cost Supercharging(Chris) “We installed one last week and I must say the product was very well put together and a smooth install.. Thanks”

Corvettes of Westchester(Chuck) "I can't say enough about the NPP in a box PRODUCT! The kits are first rate! EVERYONE wants them! PRICE IS AWESOME! SHIPPING IS ALMOST INSTANT! What more could you want!?!?"

Kind of like asking "which Coke do you recommend?". Pepsi, RC, Coke or Generic?Try asking which exhaust controller instead.

Mild to Wild is a brand name for one manufacturer. That manufacturer has been banned from CF. His product is being sold by a number of CF vendors.

There are any number of vendors selling exhaust controllers, Sunset Orange Creations is the only company that manufactures AND sells its own system to adapt an NPP or Z06 exhaust to a C6.

You will need a full system, at the very least you'll need a vacuum source, a vacuum controller, vacuum lines and a switch. Just a switch won't do you any good.

Now, let me be clear. This will only work with a fully functional NPP exhaust with all the vacuum lines already installed. This mod is just a switched version of pulling the fuse out.

Thank you to the OP who purchased the Exhaust Commander All-in-1 NPP retrofit kit.

Our kits are built here in the USA, and carry a Lifetime Warranty.

Our NPP retrofit kit can also be installed in your car without drilling any holes.

We have some great control features available for people who want to add NPP exhaust to a C6 that didnt come with it from the factory.

We have several control options available for you to choose how you open and close your NPP exhaust:
  • Keyfob Remote control
  • Dash DIC reset button control
  • Car2U universal visor control
  • RPM opening capability

Here is a link to our retrofit kit thread here on CF.

If you have questions or need info, send us an email, or give us a call. We are always happy to speak with you about the amazing features and benefits of using the Exhaust Commander in your Corvette.

Putting an 08 NPP exhaust onto an 05, you might need an X pipe. Confirm this with a shop in your area that specializes in these types of installs on a vette.

I had to put one on mine when I had NPP installed off an 09 onto my 07.

Big difference between installing an '09 NPP in an '07 and installing an '08 NPP in an '05.

'08 NPP to '05 is a direct bolt in.

Good to know. Thought it was more of an LS2 vs LS3 issue. Thanks.

In a way it is, LS2's all can use the '08 NPP but not the '09 and later NPP.

LS3's from '09 and later can use the '09 and later NPP but not the '08 NPP.
