HUD installed
I had my HUD installed in my 2011 Corvette Friday. Andrew installed the blue HUD in less than one hour and did a great job. The blue really stands out, especially at night.

Ted...a non-hud windshield works fine with hud installed. I installed one on my first FRC in 1999 and didn't have any problems...worked great! Can't see where the windshield material is any different between a C6 and C5.

I've done 83 HUD installs and I couldn't tell you the difference in the hud and non HUD windshield.

Other than the $$ they charge for it to have it replaced. I know what they say the difference it is but I agree Andrew, even in the C5s I don't think anyone could tell the difference.

I have a big crack in my windshield right now and need a new one and debating on getting a HUD windshield to see if it really makes a difference when driving on a consistent basis

not really, when you count the 4 hours it took me to get there and the 2 hours I spent making a custom color and prepping the kit it kinda drops down quite a bit.

Andrew did my HUD in September, I can't really tell any difference (and also had stock HUD on my C5), but have thought maybe there could be a sharpness difference?

I already talked to the insurance company and they said I could I just have to pay the 500 dollar deductable.

I had Andrew6 install the hud in my 2008 C6 back in august at Carlisle. What a great mod. Thank you Andrew6 and appreciate your fine efforts.
The stock windshield is perfect for the HUD unit. No worries and a nice mod...(along with my D shaped All acantara DSV steering wheel!
