Default Backup sensors

Already did a search and all I saw were backup cameras.

Does the '06 C6 come with backup sensors or are they available as an option? If not, is there one that could be installed that's not visible from the outside of the car that works?

I bet the Curb Alert sensor could be rear-mounted:

No, the C6 doesn't have backup sensors. I'm still trying to figure out why anyone would think they needed them. Kids behind the car? The rear of the C6 is so close people normally complain that other cars are getting too close at stop lights when, in fact, it just looks that way and the other cars are several feet away. I've backed into parking spots where I thought I was getting very close, got out, and I was still 5 feet away.

But if you insist, the curb alert above would seem to fit the bill.

If it had backup sensors you wouldn't have stopped 5 feet away. Front sensors would have been a great feature on the corvette.

I looked into this system as an option, but haven't done anything besides thinking about it...

I like the fact that nothing shows.

It only takes a couple of times backing to figure out that the spoiler that you see in the mirror is the back of the car.

I totally agree on the front sensor. The situation is VERY different there. HUD helps a little since the HUD image is about where the front is but it is much harder to judge.
