I visited a Corvettes of Houston on saturday to have my tires swapped over to the new to me rims I purchased. Everyone was very nice by the way. While waiting I had plenty of time to check out the arsenal they have on the floor. Some very nice cars there for sure. I looked at things such as how many autos to manuals, which had clear bra, how many verts, etc. Nice mixture of everything, all looked pretty much spotless.

I took the time to examine some of the cars to check out some of the things I have seen discussed on here.

The prices made me realize again that I got a great deal on my 2011. Different packages, I know, but not enough gadgets for me to pay several thousand dollars more for a 3 year old used one than I paid for my new one. Not bashing their prices, I have no idea what used should sell for, just an observation.

I saw a few with the clear bra and it was obvious to me it was there. Heavy line across the nose of the cars and on the silver cars the paint looked a different color under the clear bra. Saw enough to tell me that I did not want it on my car. Obviously not for everybody. I know there are different grades and all and not meant to start a debate. Just an observation.

And lastly for now, there seems to be alot more good clean C6 Corvettes for sale than any other. Most of the inventory was C6.

I agree on the concept of at least checking on the price/deals on new ones when you get in the market. I was planning on purchasing a used C6 this past Christmas and was watching the ads religiously so that I would be up on the market. In late August I saw an ad for a 2011 with 5 miles on it at a price about $5,000 less than anything I had seen for anything comparable. I bought that car the next day.
