Default A shoutout to Ray Kawal and the GM PAL

Ray is a good guy and spent a lot of time sending me several emails and helped me figure out what I needed for my Z06 to be able to play music from my Iphone and android phone through my factory Nav unit. Thanks for all the help. I got the PAL in the mail today and had it installed and working in less then 15 minutes. I had to wait some time as there has been a backorder on these for over a month but it was worth it.

Thanks again Ray

Barry

Had the same conversation with Ray and I'm on the waiting list for the next batch he gets ready.

GM needs to read a few charts about what people want in their vehicles and not the profit charts.

Of course it gives folks like Ray some spending money making mods that GM should have.

I am watching this thread. At first, it seemed rather intimidating to install the unit in my 2011 base coupe w/o NAV and standard radio.

So, all I need is the PAL 2, and an iPod, and I'm good to go?

Do I need to have an active subscription to XM for the PAL to work. (I would belive not, but just to be sure.)

Me again. Ordered my PAL 2 last week, and I just received notice USPS is delivering it today! Ray must have caught up with the back log. WOW!

One question, if you are there Ray. I read the on-line instructions (most of them at least, don't feel like pouring over them again) and not sure if the steering wheel buttons control anything. I'm sure the volume buttons remain as is, but do the up/down buttons advance to the next song. I'm hoping so.

Thanks again.

Just installed mine, me and my iphone are happy again. Ray has a great set of installation
instructions on his web site. Took about 20 min, most of that routing the I-pod cable up to the console. Coupes are easy verts look a little more involved. I use a iphone 4S in my 08 coupe. You will not be disappointed if you listen to music on your Ipod or Iphone.

I would agree, Ray is beyond great. How many tech support people call YOU on a Sunday to talk you through a problem you are having, get it figured out and fixed. Not many!

I wish all customer service was as good as what you get with Ray.

He is what makes this board and Community so great.

Thank you for the compliments guys.

Since you have already received your Version 2 PAL, you likely have it installed already. But if not, yes, the steering wheel buttons do add additional control of the PAL.

And yes, I WAS caught up on orders and got my huge backorder situation all shipped - a few folks had to wait well over a month. A lucky few (about 8 of you) got one day shipment because I actually had some extra in stock. But those went quickly and I'm now back up to 9 backorders. Mediatronics will, however, have quite a few more to me next week so I'll be able to ship them immediately upon arrival.

Yes, indeed, we are lucky as a corvette community to have such a stand up guy like Ray.

Thanks Ray.
