Great comment. I just bought my dream car, 2011 Z06/Z07 CFZ...don't really care about the C7 at all. Since it is a new design, they will have all sorts of problems with it for the first few years, just like every other new design platform. I probably won't be interested for a few years and quite frankly, without a 427 I may never be interested.

In 1967 I was 7 years old. When the coke bottle shape of the C3's came out, I fell in love with Vettes. Before that, I had been too young to notice cars. I grew up in the era of C3s, graduating High School in 1978 (remember the first Pace Car?).
To answer your question, not yes, but hell yes. I would have traded if I would have been on the scene. (and yes, lost all the value of the midyear on my new C3).
Compare that to today........I have a new Centennial Z06. Will I trade it? Probably so. Today I'm 51, and will not be around in 40 years to see the giant leap in the value of the car. Hey, I'm even thinking about a 427 Vert. When the C7 comes out, I'm sure I'll want one, too.
Being honest and true to myself, I enjoy having a new Vette. (Evidently, since I'm on my 9th C6.)
