We'll i have 2005 c6 , my seat is stuck in midget mode.! my wife drive's my car sometimes she put the seat real close to the steering wheel she's 5'0ft im 6'1 and i cant move it back when i push the button nothing happens im thinking the motor wen't out
i called around some say the swich goes bad i was told it cost over130.00 just for a switch then how much is a motor ?
anyway is there a temporary way i can get it back so i can drive it .? i do know if i should force push it idk if i can? thanks in advance
maybe a long shot but what about disconnecting the negative battery
cable for about 5 minutes, rehook, re-index windows, and see if switch works after that???
someone can chime in that has done this but if you can do a search on removing the seat switch... take the one out of the passenger seat and put it in the driver's seat. If it works at least you will know if it is the switch and you can get your seat back to position to drive it tomorrow.
Then just order another switch from Gene at GMPARTSHOUSE.COM
And as Marc V. says, you did check the fuse, right? check you manual for the correct one
If you want to remove the seat, which is not to hard you can then manually move the seat back. If you remove the seat it will be a little tough with seat all the way forward but it can be done. You will have to use a box wrench on the front bolts.
Only other thing I can think of is if you can look under the seat and make sure the wire harness is still plugged in. You should be able to see it sticking through the carpet. It's possible it came disconnected when the seat moved all the way forward. I'm just throwing out ideas here.
Oh and the fuse is marked "PWR SEATS MEMORY SEATS". That's the fuse weather you have memory seats or not.
