C5 / c6
Who's recently gone from a C5 to a C6? And if so what did you go from and to?

I went from a '01 Torch Red Vert with 27K miles to a Victory Red '05 Vert with 1900 miles. Just needed a change. Wanted the current body and newer technology.

I just purchased a 05 coupe with 30k miles, I had a 98 coupe with 30k.
I wanted a C6 because of the sleek body style,400 hp and the 6 speed trans.
And it looks great.

Black 2004 C5 convertible; oak top; oak interior; M6; Z-51. (3rd C5 owned.)
To: CG 2009 C6 convertible; black top; dark titanium/grey interior; A6; Z-51.
Absolutely no comparison between the two; C6 better in every regard.
Peace, out.

A C6 was my first vette. I have owned two C4's since then (still have the C6 and one C4).
one of these days I'll get the chance to borrow a c5 for the afternoon- I'm always curious to see what the differences would be.

2003 AE MN6 coupe to VY 2008 Z06
No comparison
C6 much better car.
Reason is I had a buyer for my '03, GM employee price certificate and 0% financing. All the planets were aligned.
Was gonna buy a coupe and thought, "Why not just get the Z?"
Glad every day that I did.

We went from a '02 black coupe with a manual trans to a black C6 Z. Couldn't get away from the black.
And I thought the '02 handled really well.

Went from a totaled 2004 C5 coupe to a 2009 C6 vert last June, and only because I came across the C6 at a really great price ...

2003 Electron Blue A4 coupe, to a 2006 Monterey Red Vert with tan top and interior, Z51, NPP, 6 spd.
The color of the 03 was beautiful, and I still miss it. That car ran great. However, I wanted a Vert really bad, and the performance of the C6 is far superior. Wish I had both though.

I actually have both. I have an 03 Z and my wife wanted to get away from a 6 speed so we just traded the cts-v for an 06 coupe.

1998 C5 Cp was a nice car but hands down my 2011 C6 is the better car. More power, drives better, safer, better electronics, my gas gauge works and it is a better looking Corvette IMHO. Once I gout use to not having pop up head lights I have never looked back.

98 coupe to a 09 Z06. The improvement in highway gas mileage(from 24 MPG to 29 MPG) is the reason I traded.
