I know a guy that just bought a base Callaway C6. It has the Callaway hood, Z51 and polished supercharger. He claims this is a $100,000 + car in 2006 and 650 hp. Did Callaway have a 650hp base LS2 package? I can't find a 650 anywhere.. I can see a hot Z06 with those numbers, but a base without H/C, headers, etc?? Am I off on this? He is claiming huge victories on Ferraris, GTRs etc..... I was thinking H/C and headers for my car but maybe I need to pick up one of those Callaway superchargers

 

There was a 616 hp package but not a 650, but it included head and cam work. Callaway never installs long tube headers. Price would depend how it was optioned.

 

In 2006, we offered an SC616 package which I know one of our customers who owns one, routinely "races" his son, who has an F-car, and easily outruns him.

Our current offering, the SC606 has more torque than our earlier offering, and still outruns Ferraris

Your friend may be exaggerating a little but he's still got him a flat out kick tail automobile!

 

You can reach those same numbers easily a number of ways.

There are a number of superchargers that will give you 600 engine horsepower. Turbos will do the job also but cost more. You don't need to do anything else other than bolt on a supercharger or twin turbos to get this kind of hp out of this car.
