To find fault with someone who opts to not drive their car as much as those who have to use theirs as a daily driver well, it is their decision.
They spent their own money on it the same as you, they just enjoy it in another way.

The next owner which could very well be a member of the family will have a great car.

Just my thoughts

Well, I have a few garage queens and none of them are new Corvettes, and all were purchased (or retrieved) well after the big bucks were spent on them. Even if it's only a Schwinn, I think everyone should have that special-occasion vehicle that gets out of the garage when everything is just right in the world.

We have: 1956 Harley flh with 27,000 original miles...it gets driven but not to the point where it's a boring ride. She has trophied as "Judge's Choice, Best of Show"

and there is my mom's Cadillac, purchased new in '78 and residing with me for the last 10 years or so...38,000 miles on the odometer and not driven very often, but appreciated when it is.

and last but definintely not least is my '66 coupe that has been with me since '68. She did her tme as a daily driver and did some track time. The '66 has earned the right to rest until driven on those special occasions.

Are they garage queens?? Hell yes, but they've earned it. My wife's newer Corvette hasn't paid its dues yet...it's too new so sorry, not a garage queen. It's her daily driver.

My friend has a really cool 'man cave' with several cars on display. I think the ultimate definition of a garage queen is his 2010 ZR1. He picked it up new at the dealer on a trailer, hauled it home and rolled it off the trailer and into his man cave. It is the centerpiece of his collection which also includes a restored 69 'vert, two restored Camaros, a Camaro pace car and a Shelby Mustang.

That is a lot of iron and a lot of cash sitting around on display, but I guess some folks take more pleasure out of collecting and looking at classic sports cars than driving them.

My 08 isn't a garage queen, but isn't my daily driver either.

I just returned home after flying down to Oregon to buy a car from a gentleman who put a total of 8,500 miles on his '06 coupe that he bought new. The car looks like it just left the showroom. Not a speck of dirt or dust in the engine bay and of course the rest of it is immaculate as well. He kept it covered in his garage and took it out on weekends for cruises with his Corvette club.

I'm glad some folks keep their cars as garage queens.

This "issue" makes about as much sense as asking people why they by boats. People should worry more about their own lives than what others arwe dong with theirs. In the end, we all go out alone.

PS: My '06 Z06 just turned 3700 miles. Don't ask.

Well I wouldn't go as far as saying miles driven in a certain time frame as making a car a garage queen because if that's the case, my wife's crappy Neon is a garage queen because we have only put 4k miles on it in over 2years. I just hate that car so it just sits there, we drive the Vette and Speed3 everywhere.

I have 5 garage queens, 1981 Camaro Z28 restored, 2003 Corvette 50th Anniversary Edition, 2007 Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows Edition, 2009 Challenger SRT, 2007 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic. Love them all, love people coming over and checking them out, love driving them occasionally. All are in the will for my grandchildren. Anyone who says this is the wrong way to spend MY money can bite me

thats one of my points where you dont have to have a garage queen to have it look perfect. my 07 miata in true red with 52k miles looked like a garage queen(not a nick, swirl, chip, fade anywhere) the motor, interior paint and body still looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor when i traded it in. this was my dd and parked outside in my private spot. theres no garage queen on this forum that looks better than my miata did. so i had a garage queen quality car that i got to enjoy thoroughly without the queen status. and got top value on it when i traded it in(no i didn't get robbed on the price of the new vette hence my great trade in price on my miata, i actually got a great price on the vette and the high trade in value of the miata was a bonus)
