Is the current draw less or more than with OEM bulbs?

I installed these and have noticed a jiggle on small bumps with the ballasts on top of the housing. They are too heavy to be placed on top. Don't know about heat. I will be moving them when I go back in to swap out the headlights and DRL.

I drove mine at night for the first time yesterday and did not notice any movement from the fog light housings while going over bumps and the like.

All I can think of is that the wires coming out of the ballast are not secured in a way that takes the stress and weight off the ballast, which in turn may cause the housing to move when you hit bumps.

In my case not an issue that I observed.

It been installed that way since I can remember and have never heard of or seen any type of movement due to ballast placement on the housings

So the ballast is the weak link in the chain and if there are problems down the line this is the item to look at first?

My kit arrived today. Quality looks excellent. Neal shipped super fast. The ballast does not seam very heavy to me. Possibly if the weight of the cable was pulling down I could see it maybe shaking the light. I'm going to install on top of the fog light housing. I plan on installing next weekend. My install should be cake as the bumper is currently off the car since it was just painted. It came back today but giving it some time to cure before re installing.

Ballasts are suppose to be slim and lightweight actually.

Was just surprised to read someone saying they were too heavy for the fog light enclosure. Not a ballast expert, but these things are so small and light, I can't see them causing an issue.

Noticed the fog lights jiggle on bumps a lot the last few nights. Will have to go in a check the whole assembly. But a jiggle is not an unheard of problem. I read another older post recommending not mounting the ballast on top due to jiggle and one complaint that the plastic clips holding the light whole assembly break easily. On person on the forum reinforced the whole light assembly and that fixed the jiggle. Of course I could just have really big potholes. Great lights tho!

I mounted the ballast in the frame rail just beside the fog light it fit perfect drilled 2 small holes held in with small self taping screws. Seemed like the best place I found did not want the extra weight on the plastic housing.
