Does any one know what changes are going to be made on the GS coupe from 2012 to 2013?
My guess is there will be no changes other than maybe some new colors or wheels. Development money for 2013 models is probably close to zero since the C7 is coming.
One thing to check is what's included in each of the packages, 1LT, 2LT, 3LT, 4LT. it can change each year, and the differences can be substantial.
for example, the 2LT package for the 2012 GS had HUD, Nav, high end Bose, power passenger seat....these are all things i wanted and were NOT included in the 2011 2LT package. in 2011 you had to spend about $6K more to get the 3LT package to get these options.
That factor alone was what motivated me to order a 2012 GS, versus trying to find a 2011 3LT with the color and features i wanted, but NOT have other features i did not want. in the end, i got a one year newer car, and at a cheaper price. the car's themselves i think were identical in every other way.

The 60th Anv models are nothing more than decals. Everything about the 427 Vert is from the chest....Z body/motor, GS frame and suspension from....ect...
The money to bring anything new to table is in the NEW C7's....
So I highly doubt we will see anything that is not already available or that has not already been part of one model or the other.
Still, I would like to have the 427 Vert....just because it's a wide body with 427 cubes under the hood....which I seriously believe we will NEVER, EVER see again beyond 2013 model year. GM has already stated their moving in the direction of smaller cubed engines just because of the new laws taking effect beginning in 2015/16 and becoming more and more stringent as time rolls fwd...
