Default E-Brake handle

Is there a way for the E-Brake handle to rest a lower level. When is off or level down. still seems pretty high as if it was on and I don't like it.
Any help?

Don't know about that but your avatar picture sure makes your car look like a shark or something!

I've been going to Bowling Green to the Bash for 6 years. Each year I've talked with at least one person from the engineering department. I've been asking for a recessed e-brake handle each year. I ask how can anyone with an ounce of common sense design our current handle? It's just plain stupid. I guess is that they really don't give a $h!t as to what I say.

But, with the way Guberment Motors is managed these days, my next car will be an R8.

I'm amazed GM hasn't been sued after a passenger accidentally used it as a grab handle due to it's position. GM is just asking for a lawsuit on this.

I also think it's a design flaw that the handle sits so high.

Same here.

Everytime I look at it, I wonder the same thing "Did I forget to disengage the parking brake?"

The handle is just made of a bent piece of sheet metal. I would think that bending it a little further would make it better for the people that are bothered by it.

Yes, I think the same thing! My Camaro has a flush parking brake handle, and sometimes I get startled when I see the C6 handle up in the air when I'm on the freeway.

A design defect, to be sure.

Had 2 incidences where 2 different passengers hit it with their arm. The car immediately starts chiming at you to let you know its engaged.

Then the title EuroRod would be very appropriate on the Audi forum.

If you drive the car into a lower area that will lower everything including the ebrake handle.

As have I. One of the first things i noticed about the car when i bought it. I'm sure if an aftermarket assembly was available, it would sell well. It seems like there isn't one, huh?

A nice class action lawsuit after a passenger grabs it might get GM's attention.
