There are 2 different procedures for programming a new remote, and both are in the owner's manual.
The shorter procedure adds a remote as the next remote number. If the next remote number for your car is a #3 or a #4, it will not have the memory options.
Only by using the long procedure and programming all remotes you have, can you program a new remote as #1 or #2.

If all else fails, you can have a dealer do it, but that's usually expensive.

When adding a new fob, while still having at least one other fob programmed to the car, a rather simple deal. If no fobs presently programmed to the car, then the longer method, and you'll be needing the rear hatch key. Good idea, having a hatch key when doing any fob programming, just in case.
