Hey, so just wanted to share what i did to remedy this issue. In my case both the mirror mount on the windshield was broken as well as the actual mirror mount inside the mirror itself. All i did was push the 3 pins together on the windshield mount and I put a new bolt with washers and nuts to support the mirror inside. all in all. very easy took about 1 hour.
