Default Turtle Wax Black Detailer - works great!

Thought I'd try this stuff and was amazed with the results. Here's some pics after a quick detailing.

I think I'll try the Turtle Wax "Black Box" next - anyone else tried it?

nothing compares to Zaino's..especilally multiple coats...I used the black box and you get wax build up...your black car will turn gray from it!

The results on the Zaino / Rejex threads look amazing but I don't have the time. I just applied this stuff with one microfibre towel and removed it with another. Thirty minutes. Done.

Looks like the "Black Box" product comes with a tinted wax. Did it turn your car "gray" after one application or multiple coats? Anyone else tried it?

No offense taken but quick and easy works for me.

Had the Vette out tonight on our (very) dusty rural roads and she didn't look any dustier than usual when I got home. Dusted with my "California Brush" (as usual) and the shine still looks amazing.

If there's a product that actually repels dust on black cars I'd love to hear about it.

No offense understand that you use and love Zaino, but the op was just commenting on the shine and so was i. I dont believe any quick detailer offers much protection. I still believe it did a great job making his car look like eye candy just sayin.

Ive found that a little goes along way. Try spraying the MF towel and then apply it to the car. Works for me

I have been using the black detailer for a while and i though i would share my results with you as i am now using zaino and can compare. The turtle wax goes on quickly and holds its own for a few days but wears quickly in certain areas. for what it is (a 7.50 OTC detailer) it is a great product, esp for those quick shines. it hides swirl marks very well and looks amazing with the first couple applications. I will warn you, after a few applications it starts to streak VERY BADLY. I found the remedy for this was to clay bar the entire car and re apply. With Zaino, although a bit more pricey, the more you apply it the better it looks. following the directions to the "t" gets you a deeper shine every time.

Just my two cents

Zaino IS silicone too. I've analyzed it by IR spectroscopy.

Zaino really isn't as expensive as some people think. You only use a small amount so one bottle can last for years. But other products can work just as well as can be seen in the OP pictures. Gotta love a detailed Vette!

I've tried the Black Detailer as well and feel the results are to my liking. However, I have not experienced any weathering to see how well it holds up. You think that any wax that is "good" could get it right being black wax. Maybe I just need that guy who has a 72-Step hand detailing shop that will cost me $5,000 per detail. And if a bird ***** on my car, he will drive on over and wash, clay, wax, and paint light the surface for perfection.

Nothing but Meguiar's products for me. Been using it for a long time. OP, glad you're happy with your product, it does look sweet. Great color too.
