Broken Seat
I noticed yesterday, all of a sudden, there was an uncomfortable feel about sitting in the drivers seat. It feels like the seat is cockeyed and leaning in towards the console.
I discovered today that the hinging between seat back and the seat bottom on the console side is broken.
What are my options? Any idea how much $$

From a visual inspection of the seat and examination of the diagram in
http://store.gmpartshouse.com/parts/...agramCallOut=9 I suspect part # 9, the Pivot Bracket.
Anyone have the procedure for removing the seat (with airbags)?

The Pivot Bracket (Part # 10272746 ) is on National Back Order with no ETA for the part to be released. What to do
?
I think I'm going to pull the seat and take a closer look. My initial inspection was with seat in the car.
It sux when it's your daily driver. Kind of limits you to when and what you can do. Right now the seat's shimmed with a folded up towel, LOL.

just had my seat back frame replaced this week
On the same order. The lower tab had not broken but was bad. Dealer covered it under 3/36. The frame looks robust but in fact is not. Do not in the future put so much backward pressure on the seat back. When getting in and out I was told. Or cut back on the WOT!

sorry to hear/read this. on another note, this may be the time to repair and add to the seating area per that kit that's offered for around 70. hope that national backorder gets fixed soon.

Well I had ordered two parts, one of which was on back order, and "something" has shipped and is due in tomorrow. I hope it contains both
[Edit] It did contain both. Now let's hope I ordered the right part...... I have doubts after looking at it....

Took car & video to dealer. $300 labor + $180 parts. Looking at the job maybe $300's not so bad..... It probably doesn't take that long but the learning curve is what kills so much personal time.
Has anyone else had this happen to their seat?

Start calling junkyards to see if they have a wreck you can buy the seat out of.

Nice idea. Do you think it needs to be an '05 seat?

I went ahead and took her to the shop. When the tech pulled the skin off the seat back this is what he found:

To fix (extra $90) or not to fix? If I have it fixed I get new seat back foam.
