I don't throw my hand out the window like I'm having convulsions, but I'll lift a few fingers up off the wheel if I notice another Vette. Sometimes I just fail to see other Vette's in time, I may have glanced at the speedometer, or been switching radio stations, and caught a glimpse as it passed by. It happens, can see em all...

Yeah …. they wave here a lot in Los Angeles….. but usually with only one finger showing

I get a wave back maybe half the time. I do have to admit that miss doing the wave sometimes when I don't see the other Vette in time. Not easy to make it every time.

However, I'd rather people pay more attn to the road and keep thier hands on the wheel than give me/my car any more attn than it already draws.
I think paying attention to the other vehicles on the road (i.e. Corvettes) is by definition being attentive . . . A wave can be done safely, it's pretty easy for most people.

But if you want to waive the wave requirement, so be it.

I know quite a few vette owners and you would be surprised how many know absolutely nothing about there cars let alone the wave...unless someone doesn't wave first I don't bother ..

Default Don't wave all the time

Driving in L.A. during the heavy traffic hours, sometimes I am so busy watching the road I have missed a vette. When I saw the Vette,it was too late to wave.I try to wave but some get by w/o the wave.

I always wave to fellow Vette owners and other motorcyclists when I'm on the bike. Most of the time I get one in return.

Hi every1. Newbie here. Got a funny one to share w yall. I see this red vette one sat morning driving to work on frwy. Hes flying up my rear and passes me. I pull up even to him to jus give him a nod. We doin about 75-80 at this pt. This dude didnt look at me - instead hes staring at my front qtr panel to see if I had a Z06 badge. When he saw I wasnt a Z06 he tried to give me the bizness. I ran him 2x and walked him ( cuz I hav a few basic mods). Bout a month later I see this same dude again on the frwy on a sat morning. The odds of that? Again same story. No look no wave...just tries to get the jump on me. Same thing happened again. After 3 more beatdowns he finally smile and wave at me. Damdest thing. lol. I guess I got his respect finally? I dunno. Sorry didnt mean to write a novel.

Since I had my vette I've waived at every vette owner. Except some kid around yesterday here with a riced fake lingenfelter with his windows down blasting some little Wayne or something. I just ignored him.

About that Kia story, it reminds me. Sunday I was at a stop light and this old mid-late 90's dodge ram pulls up beside me. Obnoxious sounding and very loud exhaust. You could tell he thought highly of it with his decals and new wheels. Kind of reminded me of something you could expect to see on Joe dirt. Anyway the light turns green and I start driving. He floors this thing and I mean this engine was screaming it was so high in the rpm band. I've got my targa off and I am literally just driving as I normally would minding my own business. I hit the speed limit of 55 and engage the cruise control and here comes this thing driving by me with his lady giving me this smug look like they just won a race. As they pass by i see this huge sticker on the back of his window that said "livin on the wild side" I started to laugh because it's obvious that he was trying race me and he never passed me until I let off. AND I WAS JUST DRIVING NORMAL!
Just thought I'd share my un-intentional 0-55mph kill story.

Uh, there will be a moderator along soon to tell you that racing on the freeway stories are frowned upon here. Great story, though.

Welcome to the forum anyway!
