Yup, same here. Just checked out yesterday morning after a 4-night stay and everything was great.

Wife and I always stay at the Drury Inn just a couple of exits south on the interstate. The Montana Grill is just down the street past the regional airport. The Outback is next door to the Drury but I would take the car and drive to the Montana for a great steak instead.

There are a couple places to stay across from the NCM and although we didn't stay there I have read they're good and convenient. We stayed in a pretty bad B&B outside of town.

Go to the square in Bowling Green. We found 2 really decent restaurants on the east side of the square with ample parking. Food was wonderful. One had an upstairs ballroom that was no longer in use. Sorry, cant remember the names.

I haven't stayed at the County Inn & Suites in Bowling Green, but I have stayed there in other towns/cities, and they are a really nice place to stay. Their decor is not the usual cheap looking bland motel junk.

Have stayed there before and would stay there again in a heartbeat. And, its innkeeper is Jan Strode and her husband Wendell is the Executive Director of the NCM.

It's been a few years since I stayed at the Courtyard but in all the times I stayed there (6 years in a row during Labor Day events down here, and once with 12 other cars from our club in Massachusetts) they would always put out a hose and a bucket along with hotel towels for Corvette owners to use.

I replied to your other post. Yes, good burgers and hotdogs. It's more of a sportsbar.

stayed at the Courtyard along with Talon a few yrs ago, they could not have been nicer to us...I recently stayed next door at the Hilton, a nice place for sure as the Courtyard was doing some renovations. Both are top notch... I love the Montana grille...had a great steak there one night after a day at the plant watching my GS being built. If you follow Pauls advice..(talon90)_ you will not go wrong..enjoy your time down there...

All three of these are within a five minute walking distance to the Montana Grille which is one of the best values (great food, great bar, great service) in Bowling Green.

For places that I can personally recommend:

Baymont Inn & Suites 270-843-3200*

Courtyard by Marriott 1-270-783-8569

Drury Inn Bowling Green 270-842-7100

Hampton Inn (270) 842-4100*

Holiday Inn University Plaza * (270) 745-0088

* Discount for NCM members.

If you want a very nice dinner with great food, great service and awesome people I recommend the following in this order:

1. 440 Main - 440 E Main St
Bowling Green, KY 42101
(270) 793-0450

2. The Brickyard cafe - 1026 Chestnut St
Bowling Green, KY 42101
(270) 843-6431

3. Mariah's - 801 State St
Bowling Green, KY 42101
(270) 842-6878

If you want a fairly casual meal again with fair prices, great food and service....The Montana Grille 1740 Scottsville Rd Bowling Green, KY 42104-3350 Phone: (270) 746-9746.

When we were there in Aug. 2011 the "Brickyard Cafe was closed up tight. I would suggest "Raffertys" though

I was at the Brickyard last Thursday for dinner and have been several times this year. They were undergoing renovations last year but they are very much alive and well.

Yup, same here. We were there last Thursday night and again on Saturday night. Paul introduced us to the Brickyard Cafe and we make it a point to dine there at least once during every visit to Bowling Green. It's GREAT.

We drove there from Bowling Green Saturday. It's about 35 - 45 minutes from BG. Beautiful area but didn't stay at the resort but seen the hotel and cabins. We made the comment that it would be a nice place to stay. I was more engrossed in the lauching of a 90' house boat more than anything.

Thanks. I am a little worried it is too secluded but I guess it is worth checking out.
