I have found that after applying a product to the windshield it will wear unevenly and show streaks, so to speak.
Tried many different products while Commercial driving, usually washed the windows a few times a day. Within a couple of weeks or it would be hard to get a clean looking glass.
Should I just stick with glass cleaner or is their a product out there that would protect it from road abrasion?
If you're referring to preventing pitting of the windshield then no, there isn't anything you can apply that will prevent it. Anything particle that can penetrate the glass surface isn't going to be stopped by a thin coat of sealant.
can I use Pinnacle souveran on my windshield? and how about my clear lexon top?
I use Rejex on all the windows and both rearview mirrors, except the front windshield. It works great when new but wears unevenly from the windshield wipers. On the other windows, it lets the water just blow off and keeps them clean without washing.

Yes, It's the pitting I was referring too. Having a brand new car it's nice having a clear windshield. I was hoping there was a way to keep it that way aside from not driving the thing and that's not gonna happen!
Do as NASCAR does, have a peel-away plastic film applied, in layers. When one gets pitted or whatever, peel it away, there you go, then you have another layer under it...!! Kind of **** but can be done....!

It's funny you should say that, If I can recall correctly there was someone here on the forum that had a company put a film on their windshield and had pic's, I couldn't find it again though.
Why the heck would you want to wax your windshield?? NO WAY!! I tried Rejex on mine once, it was terrible. AND, Rejex is not a waX....
I went to the car care seminar at the Bash and they said wax your side windows and rear hatch but not the windshield. Your wipers will not work as designed with wax on the windshield.
I have used carnuba wax on windows for over 25 years. I have found it to be the very best glass cleaner. I have never tried it on an automobile because I was concerned about the safety glass and its effect on that type of glass. It would be interesting to hear comments about that. Try the carnuba wax (really bees wax) on your sliding glass door and you will be amazed!
I used Rejex on my glass until I found that hazy streaks were appearing that were difficult to wash off. I noticed it more on my rear window than the front windshield. I stopped using Rejex on the glass because I don't like streaky looking glass.
