Default Parking For ALMS Race At Atlanta $50

I haven't been to a race at Road Atlanta for a few years, but today when I ordered my tickets for the ALMS race, they wanted $50 extra for parking even for the Corvette Corral. When did this start? Seems high for parking.

It was $20 at the LBGP a couple weeks back.
Secured parking was just outside the gate and we had three free meals each so it was a heck of a deal.

I noticed Laguna Seca is $50 this month as well. It's still worth it IMO if two people get to eat catered meals for free.

I guess costs go up, so they just charge more for parking. Like you said, still a good deal. Hopefully the Vettes will be racing for the top spot at this race. Should be fun.

It cost me $50 last fall at the Petit Le Mans and Corvette Corral. If you're only there for two days....that's $25 per day or less for three days.
It cost me $25 for at the track parking at Barber for the indy race. They got to make some money somehow...

Were going too however there has been no news on the Corvette Corral released yet. We have been calling almost every day since the race was anounced.

Parking prices are getting stupid though especially if you are paying big money to see the event. I think the last ALMS race in Utah was around $50 parking but that included general admission which is a fair deal.

I use to pay $25 for Petit at Road Atlanta parking and the entire week ticket. I would travel down to Atlanta spending a pretty good chunk of change for the week. But when the lack of TV coverage started with ALMS I refused to attend any events. This is part of Scott Athertons deal and since their attendance is down they are trying to squeeze every thing they can out of some one that attends. I had been a faithful fan since the begining in 1998. I will leave it at that!

Parking in the Corvette Corral has always been free at Road America. I hope they don't see this thread and mess things up for us...
