Navigation - Region
I am traveling to Dallas tomorrow to have NPP and M2W installed. I was just in my vette getting ready to set the destination and I don't have all of the regions to select from. I've read the Nav manual and I searched the documents provided by Talon90 and the reference that I see regarding the Region selection shows up/down arrows to page up and down to see all regions to select from.
I only have a few regions and region 5 (Texas) is not one of them.
I guess I need a different DVD? I have a 2008.

I see in my manual that there are indeed two DVDs. However, I only have the eastern regions. Oh well, no biggie. I'll find the place and I'll enjoy the new sound on the way back.

As noted, the 2008 DVD is a two disc set, east and west. The east disc covers as far west as Kentucky. You need to have the west disc in to set your destination for Texas (at least as far as trip planning goes.)
When the car was new it would have come with two but some owners were selling the disc they weren't using.

If you want to spend the ~$210 for the latest update, you can get the 2012 version and it's all on one disc.
We update every year because we drive all over the country and use the nav a lot, but many people only do an update after several years.

I know there is a newer version but I just got V.6 West Coast off fleabay for $80. I was still on V.1 that came with my '05. V.6 had what I needed for my trip to Phoenix last week and the factory Nav worked perfectly and accurately.
