Somebody Keyed My Car - Where to Park?

Actually, even though I still try to park away from most cars, you're never really safe unless you sit inside it with a loaded 357 on your lap. It's just a sad testament to the society we live in today. And, it's getting worse..

Never had it happen to any of my Vettes but my wife's Suburban got a 6-7 foot long scratch at a Walmart. Difference is some 20 something guy saw the POS guy do it and held him for the Cops to come. We got $1500 out of the guy in a court settlement that the insurance company got for us. We didn't even have to show up at court.
In the Vette, I park as close as I can to the door of wherever I'm going and don't give it another thought. In 12 years I've had one paint scratch that I actually saw happening. A 90+ year old guy that could barely walk had his door get away from him in the wind and bam. It happens, no use getting upset...

Car Cover...
Has anybody ever thrown a car cover over your car when parked for the eve at hotels - motels?
And do you trust vale parking (if avail.) as a better way to protect your investment, than just parking in the public lot?
Curious.

I always look for an end spot, do not care what row it is in, usually can find one without parking in the back 40 where your Vette is a target.

I have always found parking in disabled spots to be the safest.(knocking on wood) They are nearest to the entrance and are extra wide so less chance of door dings. I did have my old c4 back in the 90's hit and run in a parking complex during a NBA game. I do love the dirty looks I get parking a vette in a disabled spot.
Due to a spinal cord injury/paraplegia i've been lucky enuff to park in disabled spots the past 25 yrs. Or would that be unlucky enough?
