Default No Tint, Legal Tint, Illegal Dark Tint..Which do CF C6 Drivers Have on Their Windows?

Just wonderin'...

I'm going to have mine tinted to the legal limit next week. Pics of your ride with tinted widows appreciated. Especially if yours is a red Vette.

"No tint" means the way it left the factory.

Max legal tint, sorry I can't remember what it is though. I carry the cert in the glovebox, because it does look dark. It made the car a lot cooler in the Florida sun (mine is a daily driver), and it does not affect the radar detector. I had the chevy dealer do it when I picked it up new, and it has a lifetime warranty. Been on about a year and a half with no issues.

No law in PA that says you can't do it, but an officer can ticket you if he wants. I do 15% on all windows (No windshield) on all my cars.

I usually do a 35 on the sides and 20 in back, which is legal in TX. (Except the windows are already tinted from the factory so the 35 becomes 25-30 which is technically not legal.) This time I went 35 all around just to make it easier to see out the back at night.
In my last car I had 20 on the back and once I had to stop on the expressway at night. To reenter traffic I had to open the door to look back to see when it was safe .
Sure the 20 looks great, but I do tint to block the sun's UV, not to make the car "look good".

Default Dark Tints

I think 35 is the law in MD. Nonetheless I put 10% on. I think it compliments the black paint beautifully. Its dark but not too dark since the front windshield lets good light in (as seen in the pic where you can see my passenger). At night though, 10% is dark. No one can see in.

I have the legal limit in VA which is 50% side glass and 35% rear glass. I'd like it a little darker but I think it looks pretty good as is.

30% tint. Local Sheriffs don't bother me but, the CHP frowns on it I just keep my eyes open and my finger on the window buttons

No tint here. I don't want to be hassled by the cops here in New York state. Even if you say it is legal they can ticket you. Then you have to go to court and prove to the judge you had it removed. Too many horror stories about tinting and the cops
from the car community here in western NY. Many places around here dont even do tinting anymore because of the hassle.

I'm going to fire some shots out of my window from my handgun when I leave NY for good next month.

I'm in the minority for sure but I think window tint darker than factory ruins the look of the car!
The Darth Vader look ! The LAW? What a joke! The State Patrol
is pretty much only ordering plain wrapper cars! Anymore around here! No external lights or nothing to mark them.
Only new Mustang's or Camaro's with real dark illegal tint almost black so you can't see who driving is the tip off!
Not slick n real easy to put the make on!

Sorry, no pics of mine, but I have a legal tint which is the most heat reducing (58%) available via 3M. I want to keep the car as naturally cool as possible, reducing the drag from the A/C. Living in a desert makes you conscious of such.

Good luck with your tinting.

Illegal here

50% on the front windshield.
15% on the doors.
25% on my back Vert glass.

An Arizona must!

I know some of you will castrate me for the front windshield, but this is the 2nd vehicle I've had it on and I've never been afraid of hitting anything at night.
