FortMorganAl, Please excuse me for hijacking this thread. I didnt think I was doing any wrong since this was mentioned in the thread. Thank you very much for the info! Jim
I'm getting a spare key in case I lock the fob in the car. I have the original key though and was going to mount it with a magnetic thing to the car somewhere but just realized that the car is fiberglass so does anyone know where I could do this? This is the first thing I've had happen like this. It was confusing at first but thanks to all you guys it is fine. Is there a reason I should turn off auto lock bc even with the dead battery I can't open the doors whether they are locked or not.
-Familiarize yourself with alternative ways to get in the car.
-Get a 'flat' (no plastic end) key made so you can have it in your wallet.
-Ace True Value carries (or used to carry) the B-106 key blank.
-Did you use distilled water to fill the battery?
-Charge your battery FULLY as going around the block does nothing.
-Don't leave the fob in the car. IMHO there is no real reason to do so.
I'm getting the spare made Monday. So if they have a b-106, it will work? Yes I used water. Also I charged the battery fully bc when I went through the CPU it was around 14volts

To the best of my knowledge it was a Saturn b-106 key blank. The b-106-P is the one with the plastic end. The b-106 with no plastic end looks just like this one.
