C6 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
I would vote for black top. My 06 MR vert had the cashmere top and it showed wrinkles the first year. Think the grey would also.
White with black top looks great to me.

black is sharp contrast, and no care issues (re small creases that change [slightly] color). gray* is more subtle but goes well with many colors. blue is more contrast than gray*, but not as much as black.
don't forget D30 color combo overrride, the option. it allows you to put any exterior color together with any interior color, and any top color. it will then be completely your choice as to what you put together, a very valuable, 2008-first option (altho done before in the history of Corv. options list).
* imo, the gray top has a lot of blue in it and is quite far from a true, rather dull, gray. you may want to see one in person, in the sunlight first before selecting it.

They have a white with cashmere at int and top at Chuck Fairbanks. Went to look at it yesterday. That color combo would own you just trying to keep it clean.

Almost too bad the soft top isn't removable like the one's on the MG, Triumph and, A-H of old. Then I could buy one of each .................

Just my two cents, but I think the top should match the interior. Beige interior, Beige top. Black or Ebony interior, black top. Gray interior, gray top. You doing two tone - ebony and red - go black top.
I see a ton of Crystal Red or Orange Verts with cashmere interior and black tops. I think the beige top would look better.

I like the white with the gray top, a bit different from what you see everyday. With the interior you have planned and the calipers, should look real hot.

I really liked the soft top with the stripe that was shown at the Bash.
The darker colored soft tops don't show the dirt, or the wrinkles that look like dirt, as much as light colors.
Enjoy your search, it's always an exciting part of the process.

You do have the option of buying the seldom-seen aftermarket hardtop.

The sun is your friend with light colored tops. The sun is your enemy with dark colored tops. I had a 50th AE convertible with the light shale top and it was simple to keep clean. I also have a black top on my current vert and it isn't any easier to keep clean. Over the years, I've had many light colored tops, I've always found them easier to care for than dark.

Yup, white is an easy color to keep clean. It's the top I worry about. This is going to be my daily driver.

I have a cashmere top but not sure mine is a good example as the car is garaged at home and at work. However, it is my DD and it goes through torrential summer downpours here in Central Florida. It definitely takes a beating. I use Ragg Top on it a couple of times a year.
However, the poster who talked about noticing more wrinkles in a light-colored top is definitely right. I have a couple of wrinkles in mine. I couldn't spot the wrinkles on my black top on the C5 but I'm sure it had them - and probably in the same places.
My thing is that it's a convertible top and wrinkles are par for the course. I don't think I've ever seen a perfectly taut top, except on some of the more expensive imports.
Remember some of old vinyl tops on the GM muscle cars or the tops on some of British roadsters? We've come a long way from that.
