I used to use Stoners, but it's not safe for the transparent top, headlights, instrument faces, or the black paint around the inside of the rear hatch.
GM Glass Cleaner (white foamy stuff in a spray can) is safe for the plastics and does such a good job on the real glass that I've stopped using anything else.
I use Invisible glass and newspaper. Works good for me.
Black and white newsprint works best. Color, not so much. But, as Jim said above, Stoner's (Invisible Glass) is ONLY for glass, not plastic. But it does say it is OK for window tint, which seems contradictory...
My 2012 GS had water spots, I took baking soda and a little water to make a paste, then applied to windows small area at a time wipe off and spots are gone, just stay away from black plastic if u get it on wipe off with damp towel. My windows look good and no more spots. Give it a try.
Just as important as (or more important than) the solvent used is the glass temperature. Make sure the glass is not hot when cleaning. I've used many different glass cleaners, all with great success, as long as the glass is not hot when I clean it. Hot glass = instant streaking.
The windshield and rear cargo glass are both big PITA to clean . I use a foam spray which is ammonia free and a micro fiber cloth which works pretty good.

if we're talking inside windshield I always spray the outsidewith the water hose to cool the glass then proceed with several different methods as mentioned above. I can't seem to stay with one as most methods work with cool glass.
