I am hearing all kinds of different comments about exchanging my 6 pack CD with a GPS. My car has the 1SB package. I am being told that I need a new wiring harness, a GPS antenna, that I may loose my HUD, I am confused. Can someone enlighten me.

You will need a GPS antenna but ixnay on the rest..... Go for it.
Forget the factory Gps - junk. You will also need the gps antenea and have a stealership program the vin into it to get it to work. Just ditch the stocker and get a remanufactured Kenwood Dnx 9980. I installed one for the wifey a couple of weeks ago. For a little over $700 plus harness, steering wheel controller, dash kit it is far better deal than OEM. And a ton less $ than a 2012 nib Kenwood from any vendor.

If you have a 1SB you have everything you need to install a navigation radio. Your HUD will be fine (as it is designed to be.). Yes, you need the GPS antenna. The factory mounting location is under the dash just above the top center HVAC vents. Most opt to install it sitting on top of the dash in the corner by the windshield on the passenger side.
