I believe others have said to check the piston as it could be going bad. You could try putting some tissue around the ends and see if they collect oil to know for sure. Good luck.

That plastic seems to have a paint on it, like our C5 did, and looking crosseyed at it will leave a stain. Windex would actually remove the "paint".
I just use a damp rag, or GM Glass Cleaner (white foany stuff in spray can) to get most of the stains off. Afraid to try anything else.
