Default Ventilation for seat back?

As many of you have experienced the sweaty back feature on the C6 seat - has any one found a cushion or insert that allows things to breathe?

hope it works. on another car, I had another brand. it was completely uncomfortable with wires/springs to hold it up so it wouldn't be crushed, back and bottom.

If they used seats made by JCI they could get cooled seats, but Lear was low bid......

To my knowledge, neoprene doesn't really breath well. That's my experience with neoprene gloves I have...

So funny to come across this thread. I thought it was me! My hubby then felt the same and even pulled the fuse on the seat, thinking that the seat heater was malfunctioning.

Just today he put on Neoprene seat covers (black outside / blue middle with Corvette emblem). Not only do the Neoprene covers add support and look good, but no more "sweaty back", even when cruising along the beach in the South Florida summer with the windows down and top off.

FWIW: We purchased the Neoprene seat covers from a supporting vendor, Corvette Mods and delivery was less than a week.

i like the idea, but the neoprene really cheapens the look of the interior, doesn t it?

If it did, it wouldn't be in my Vette. JMHO. Actually, the colors I purchased make the Vette a bit more sporty looking. Besides, it is practical and for one like me, often at the beach, the neoprene seat covers seem to do the trick. It's only been a day, so my opinion may change with more use. Thus far, I like.

Why not just buy some moisture wicking shirts. Thats what I wear on a long trip. Add some bicycle shorts, and you're good for the long haul.

Stop wearing cotton shirts.

Sweaty back is not just a problem with C6 seats. It's just about any seat that is not cooled/ventilated.

Buy a high end MB or BMW.

If the leather could be properly perforated that would do it. I have not noticed any of our several seat-modders offering "Perfed" or "Cooled" but maybe they do, and that would be a great solution ...
