Road Trip 2012
Packing the GS up tonight and heading to Bar Harbor Maine at 4:00am. Staying overnight in Lake Placid NY. then taking the Cog Railroad to the summit of Mount Washington in NH. where I will propose to my GF. then on to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park,going whale and seal watching as well.
On the way home we will drive down the coast of Maine to Portsmouth then back into the mountains to Laconia NH. and through Killington VT. and back into NY state at Lake George and Saratoga Springs and staying overnight at Turning Stone Casino. I will have tons of pics when I get back,so stay tuned!!

Beautiful country--familiar with all of it. Consider driving up to the top of Cadillac Mtn. (in Acadia Nat'l. Pk) early in the AM
to watch the sunrise...it's the tallest point on that stretch of the Maine coast.
