I recently tested it on my '11 CR-V over 5 days on a 2700-mile road trip. Wind, rain, hot days, cool nights.
Was worried it would blow-off at highway speeds after getting wet. Nope, it stayed secure, no problems.
Lots of bugs after 5 days... comes off easily as shown in this promo video:

Very easy to use -- be sure to read the directions. And I definitely suggest applying 2 coats.
Downside? I think it's a bit pricey.

Looks like you hit the same type/quantity of bugs we did when out west. Do you know what they were? The ones we hit were pretty big suckers, you could see them coming as I was driving 80-100mph across HWY 200 in Montana.

A few days later I took it in for an oil change and asked the Corvette tech to blow the bugs out of the radiator. He came back to me later and asked if the engine had been overheating (it hadn't), because he got about a coffee can of dead bugs from the radiator. Yuck.
