Default weeping sideview mirror

No biggie. Any quick easy fix? Passenger side mirror always weeps for a while after wash.

If it's just coming from the mirror, then rotate the mirror forward to let it drain better.

If it's slowly leaking between the mount and door skin, then rotate the mirror and through an opening in the top of the mount, poke a hole in the lowest part of the gasket next to the door skin. That'll let water run down the inside of the door skin and exit through a slot in the bottom of the door. Some gaskets already have the hole and some don't. That's why only some people have the drip issue.

I just cover the mirrors with plastic kitchen wrap during a wash so no water gets in behind the mirrors. They also make covers for them you can use during washes which eliminates this.

1 gallon zip locks over the mirrors prior to washing works. Re-usable too!

Someone once suggested drilling a hole in the bottom of each mirror.

Leaf blower easily solves the problem as well as keeping the paint in much better shape than rubbing the water off with rags or animal skins.

Yea, the leaf blower fixes the problem and also works on the tail light lenses which do the same thing. Just blow into the mirror/lens for a few seconds.

The taillight cure is simple. Take it out (one torx screw) and drill a small hole in the center of the dirt spot where the water dried up and it'll drain on the inside. Blow dry is not needed.

buy a can of compressed air like they use on computer keyboards and blow it out. Works well around lights and side markers as well

I use a leaf blower... still weeps water at the base gasket for at least 30 minutes.

So I made this with a hand towel and some string:

I put 'em on after a wash... by the time I finish detailing, I take 'em off.

Even simpler: My driveway is tilted. I position the car so the front end is at the highest point of the driveway. Gravity helps clear all the dreaded drips from the side mirrors and taillights.

But . . . It's a driver, and I'm not a waxer. My Q-tips only see my ears.
