Was pulling out of the development today and the guy across the street has a new camaro and was behind me. He got in the lane next to me and I heard him punch it so I did the same. My tires spun then hooked up and when it shifted into second gear the back end came around in a flash and I scraped against the center island with both the front and back tires. I was lucky as I didn't hurt the rims. The speed limit was 55 and I wasn't going but about 35-40 mph. My question is why didn't the computer control the loss of traction? I almost hit the camaro and now I am gun shy to punch it again.
need to know year and model you have. stock or supercharged? you have A6 and was it in sports mode with/without using paddle shifting? did you press traction control and if so how many times?
1. Read how traction control works
2. Learn how to drive

He's a fellow CF Member and has been since 2007. IMHO he deserves a better response. It's never too late to learn. If you have some info that would help him please be forth coming. You might just help some of the rest of us too. Of course if you can't help.........

Kill stories and street racing stories are not allowed. Street racing is both illegal and, as you found out, dangerous. Take it to the track. We have two wonderful forum sponsors, Bondurant and Spring Mountain that will happily teach you not only how but where to drive.
