With Plasti Dip Glossifier, you can give any Plasti Dipped item a glossy, polished look. Plasti Dip Glossifier is ideal for automotive applications, crafts, and many more uses.
I must admit this looks pretty good from something out of a can and that only take 3 hours.
I have a concern with its durability though. If it peels off so easily whats to keep it holding on when my tire is spinning at 6000RPM or when I wash my wheels or when debris from the road strikes my wheels. This may be just my inexperience with the product talking but I would hate to waste 3 hours of my time every time I wash the car to repaint my wheels.
I did the wheels on my CTS last week. Used Cammo brown with a dusting of the gold metalizer then finished with the glossifier. They turned out perfect with the white diamond tri coat exterior.
Does it only peel off easy right after application or is it always easy to peel off? Wont this eventually come off?
There is a video of them peeling it off after a couple of months, came off just like it does after being on 2 hours.
Someone here said it baked on in the Arizona summer heat and was hard to take off. But that was the only person I heard that from.
Were the emblems removed prior to spraying or did you just mask of the emblem?
We traded PMs on this but just in case for anyone else.
I left them on, taped a large area around them and sprayed them with light coats for about 5 times. It has to dry before taking off the excess over spray or you'll pull some off the emblem.
Light coats, get the coating thick, and be patient.
