Consider starting with a kit like this one.

http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...ct_Code=ZKIT-1

After you wash and claybar (optional), give it a quick once over with the Z6, apply the Z2 and then finish with the Z6. If you have swirlmarks in your finish to start substitute the Z5 for the Z2.

If you don't want a kit, minimum cost of admission is going to be Z2 and Z6. The ZFX in the kit will allow you to put on more than one coat of Z2 or Z5 in a day. If you don't need to do that, you don't really need it. Just apply the Z2 (or Z5) and finish with the Z6 detail spray. You can do this once per day without the ZFX.

This should help http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...Code=YOUCHOOSE

When I first started I clayed and polished most swirls/scratches out. From there I used ZAIO, Z5, and Z-CS (not necessary). I like Z6 to enhance the gloss and Z8 prior to a show. You don't have to use both.

I use Z-AIO as the first coat then Z5 (if you have swirls to hide) and Z2 to finish. Get some Z6 or Z8 for in between coats or as a between waxing enhancer.

So Z-AIO, Z2, Z6 or Z8 as a minimum. Z5 if you need it. All the other steps to prepare the paint for the first coat can be bought elsewhere for less.

One other point that seems to never comes to the surface. Once you buy the minimum (Z-AIO, Z5, Z2, Z6 say) you won't have to buy more for 2 or 3 years because you use so litte product if you are doing it right. (Assuming you are not one of those people that puts on 20 coats in a month... )

No need for ZFX if you use Z-AIO and don't care if you have to wait between putting on more coats.

Usually like to layer all coats so that's when ZFX is needed. If one can wait then no ZFX is needed then it gives a person to get rested up for more.

I decided to find out first hand what all the bickering is about with the Rejex VS. Zaino threads, so I just ordered the Zaino's Ultimate II detail kit.

It may seem expensive, but it's a small price considering everything I have invested.

The kits save $$$ vs. if you were to buy products all separately. Like with the Ultimate kit for $84.70 you save $8.00 including the 2 free applicators. Of course there is the shipping fee too.

For me-- it's all in fun- I really dont care either way. When I first got the C6 I was going to use Zaino but went to their website and found out what they recomended to use- use z this then z that then z the other then a bunch of other z's and said forget that- I'll just use rejex and be done with it ---and quite frankly I am happy with it, I just dont have the time and don't want to be bothered with all the Z's. I have seen the results from the Zaino and they are great as I have said previously, Just not that much better if at all . Its just a personal preference.

One thing I can't quite grasp though-- is why the mods don't move these threads out of the general discussion and into the car care forum.

Hope I wont get banned for that
