Very comon problem.
Put the seats all the way foreward, and up, tilt back of seats foreward. Unplug, and replug the wires.

I just took mine to the dealer for the same problem yesterday. They are ordering a part for it, I believe there is a TSB for this issue.

I have 2011, and my problem only happens when I am going "fast"

I noticed this exact problem this morning. I was on the entrance ramp to the highway and needed to speed up to get in front of traffic and the airbag light was on when I next checked the gauges. Do you have any more information on the TSB that I can share when I take it in for service?
Thanks!

I have noticed my light is on after a 1/4 mile pass and then it will go off when I turn the car off and then back on again.

Could you do me/us a favor and find out the part number, where it goes and the TSB number. Thanks

Will do, I take mine in on Monday to put in the part, so I'll get the info from them and post the TSB info here.

Do you move the seat fore and aft often, or never?

I recommend anyone with this problem zip tie these connectors before visiting the dealer. I had the on and off light problem for over three years with several visits to the dealer. Finally they got a code that the driver side pre-tensioner was bad. They replaced it under the GMPP and after six months the light returned. I zip tied them several years ago and light never returned. I'm sure the light did not come on for the six months after the dealer replaced the tensioner because they made a new connection with the connector that eventually went bad again.

My passenger airbag warning light has come on twice and stayed on until the engine was turned off. When restarted the light was off. The two occasions were several months apart so it is hard to duplicate the problem.

Sorry, they said there was no TSB, I was wrong. They said mine had a code B0101, and when they checked out the front impact sensor, they said it was faulty, so they replaced it.

So far, no issues.

Yes, I too have had problems with the old airbag light. Every day it goes off warning me of impending doom. My Airbag not only gives me visual clues of a problem, but is also accompanied by audible shrills.

I agree it's a terrible problem.

Thanks for getting back, when I get time I will scan for codes and see if anything comes up.

Had this issue on my '09, they replaced the drivers side seat belt pretension assembly/mechanism and no problems since.
