Your new found friend probably didn't get the Yugo reference either. I just agree with those types of people and nod abitiously. I may have said I had a V-16 if he kept pushing.
I usually just follow their leads with things like: "Really?"...... "Oh wow!!"..... "That's awesome!"....."Oh yeah?".......etc., etc., etc........You know he's wrong so there's no use getting upset about it.....
That's pretty much what I did, but the kid just went on and on, we just wanted to get on with what we were discussing.
So I was standing outside having a cup of coffee with my buddy last night, up at one of our local gas station/mini markets. In rolls this 18/19ish old kid in a souped up japanese something or other. The first words out of his mouth as he walks up...I'll bet my car is faster than yours. I thought to myself, here we go. He proceeds to tell me all about his car, and what it can do better than my Vette. He says it can do over 200mph bla bla bla. He then asks me how many cylinders my Vette has, by this time, Mr Know It All has me irritated, I just want him to go away. I say...It's a Vette, what do you think it has in it?. He says...V8 or V12? I say V12? There is no V12 in a Vette. Him...My mom had a 2010 Corvette, and hers came with a V12. I said no, no it didn't, Vette's don't come with a V12. Well hers did he says, you don't know much about Corvette's for a guy driving one. This kid refused to just shut up, until I said I could make a 74 Yugo go fast with the right amount of money. My god, what is it with kids these days, absolute idiots, with mouths that run like an *** on laxatives.

next time ask kid "you ever hear of Google? Try it chit-fer-brains".
then tell him it takes more than a fart can to beat a vette.
I learned many years ago, that anything can go fast if you have the cash, and that there are some cars on the road that are very deceiving looking. I got a lot out of my system with my Z, I'm just in putt around mode now. Besides, my wife chewed my *** when I had to replace the tires on the Z, they didn't last very long at all.
