Default Bose/Navigation help needed.....

I have an 06 Bose nav that was just replaced under GMPP. It solved most of my issues but I noticed that when using the balance fader to isolate the right and left rear speakers nothing happens. Both speakers stay on when trying to isolate either speaker. Let me explain. If I try to isolate the system so that just the left rear speaker is on I can't. Both rear speakers are always on. Same issue with the right side rear. On the front I can isolate both right and left front just fine. I'm taking the car back to the dealer tomorrow and I'd like someone with the same Bose unit to see if they can isolate each rear speaker before I take it back tomorrow. I would really appreciate someone trying for me. Thanks Rick

Rear channel being a mono signal may be why.

Default Mono rear speakers with Bose?

The rear speakers are mono? Really? No wonder I'm not impressed with the sound quality. Sound is always biased toward the front too. Sounds like 80% of the sound comes from the front speakers. I will avoid the Bose system next time. Thanks.

Yes it is mono in the rear. It's a crappy system for those used to aftermarket systems. The first thing I did after I got the car is bypass the bose and add different front speakers, amp and sub. Kept the factory nav HU and I'm happy.
