It is a cheap looking interior for other cars in its price range. I actually own a 3LT now instead of a 4LT. Thought 4LT was a game breaker along with F55 but both are not. As much as I loved my 08 AO I just love the 11GS Vert so much more.

GM could have upgraded the shifter and ebrake boots in the 4LT. Seats are the same also.

If they only knew how many people are turned off by their dislike for GM products and because of that, do not subscribe.

Perhaps other buyers feel the same, or maybe it's just a price issue.

Perhaps the current 4LT choices are better, but the two tone seats looked silly to me.

Your money, your car, your choice.

5k can buy a nice bbk... Id take a crappy interior or no interior over wasting my money on something which doesnt help the car go...

if the cheap 3lt was so ugly and cheap looking (to magazine reviewers), how come not many ordered the 4lt upgrade? :d

My car came with the 4LT. I never considered it as I also think that its a ripoff, but I got a good enough deal that I'm happy with it now. I really love the red contrast stitching in the CE package, I just wish the leather on the door and dash was a higher quality.

I have an 07 3LT that I have made many DS Vettes upgrades to and I have a 10 GS 4LT. Let's just say the cost is more on the 3LT if you replace the door panels and the dash alone.

I find it amazing people parrot what a few car magazines say.

The 4LT 3LZ interior is pretty good. Many auto magazines writers make great efforts to find fault with the American made Corvette.

To read magazines that complain about the Corvette is a waste of time. Many european cars have very cheap interiors. Here are some examples Bmw z3, Mercedes ml 320, Merc slk 230, Porsche boxster,Jaguar s type and xtype and volkwagen jetta. The complaints are BS. If the corvette became a high quality low volume car the mags would say its trying to be ferrari. when the corvette evolves its design they claim that gm is to cheap to restyle the car , but yet porsche has gotten away with the same shape for over 50 years. the 911 isnt even as old as the corvette so our cars have more history. The mags can say what they will but facts are facts , The corvette outperforms higher end cars on the track and can be had by a person who wasnt born with a silver spoon in there mouth. Everyone here who chose to own a corvette knows how hard it is to spend 50k to a 120k for a car. Thats something that any supercar owner knows about regardless of the make and model. The mags know we will be reading the comparisions and will be unhappy with the results and no matter how much the corvette crushes the competition the mags editors will tend to favor european and japanese cars. So do i care that i got the 1lt package for my corvette? No i dont im going to buy sparcos for my car and get dsvettes to handle the rest. The corvette is a car that many people fall in love with despite the image people attach to it or the so called cheap interior comments.

X 2.

And, one can modify a Corvette with after-market parts to one's taste for a wide range of money, and if that is not desired,
one can buy a used/new 'Vette pretty much equipped from the factory as desired (with limited exceptions).

I think most owners think the interior is just fine. However, many are justifiably cranky about the seats -- both in terms of support and how quickly the leather creases and cracks. Every time an owner opens the door and sees how rapidly the driver's seat is decomposing, he gets pissed -- as well he should. The majority of Corvette owners are male, older and carry more-than-a-few extra pounds (including me!). Chevy needs to address this in seat design, construction AND leather quality.

Take the same interior and move things around so it doesn't look familiar and put a BMW name on it and they will rave. Get tired of the people who complain about things that aren't an issue. I think it was C&D that raved about the 07 Tahoes/Yukons when they first came out and made them their truck of the year but they still had to complain because the dash wasn't soft touch but looked soft touch. So I went out to my Tahoe that I had owned for 3 years and checked it out. Son of a Gun no soft touch on top of the dash. Didn't even know I was missing something. If you judge cars on that kind of basis you can make a lot of mistakes when you choose your cars.

I'm getting rid of my few extra pounds.

Rebuilding the seat was not what I really wanted to do, but it was necessary.
