Never had an alignment, anyone else?
Picked up the car in 05, replaced tires in '11 with 42,000 miles on tires. Had alignment done after harmonic balancer replacement. I think I was lucky, I usually align with new tire installation.
I ruined two sets of tires on my 2005 before I learned that an alignment was something I might need (never needed it on my other 5 Corvettes). Got it done and had no tire wear trouble after that. I plan to have my new GS checked at around 2000 miles and set to a PFADT street setting just in case the new car is as far off as my 2005 was. Even if it adds a couple 1000 miles of tread life it is worth the money.

In the last dozen years, we've bought three new Corvettes (2001, 2006, 2009). Each of them got an alignment within the first 5k miles, and each of them had at least one parameter that was outside of even the wide GM specs.
I also believe in the logic if it ain't broke don't fix it however when i took my new '12 coupe of the showroom floor i noticed the steering wheel was cocked a little to the left wtf! Drove right back and what do you know, the factory alignment was way off.(left rear toe was .48!) they corrected it with a perfect alignment and all is good 9k miles later. So in my case yes it had to be checked but as long as it drives the way it does now i don't see any reason to check or have it done again.

The very inside edge of all four of my tires was wore down to the core at about 10,000 miles. That's when I noticed it, anyway. The inside 1/2 inch is kinda hard to see on these wide azz tires. That's an expensive lesson learned. Bought new tires and did a non aggressive alignment.....0 toe and 0 chamber. Happy so far.

Incase anyone needs a link to our alignment spec you can find it here. The key to our spec is the pretty tight tolerance between front and rear. The smaller "green zone" means that you will end up with a more precise alignment. Our Performance Street recommendation will give you a good combination of improved handling and excellent tire wear.
Keep in mind that the quality of your alignment is going to be directly related to the Tech performing the work. Generally we recommend taking your car to a performance shop that specializes in aligning high performance cars.. folks used to working on quality machines are likely to do a better job. There are some dealer techs who do absolutely excellent work, but in our experience an independent shop typically yields best results.

'08 Coupe with 100K and original factory alignment. They haven't been easy miles either. I avoid Interstates and have no fear of nearly any road where the surface has less than 3" deep potholes.
I'm almost ready for the 4th (and a third) set of tires. (I had Mich AS for 10K and sold 'em) Tread wear has always been even all across all four.
Lucky? Well maybe.
Happy? Oh yeah.

Just turned 38,000 miles today. Bought car with 3 miles on odometer and it's never been aligned. I'm on my 3rd set of F1 Supercars up front and they're wearing evenly, as did the two prior sets. The rear sets last longer cuz I don't do burnouts and keep the traction control on most of the time.
Had it checked but all that was changed was the front toe, just a fuzz
$35.00
Had it checked again when I recently replaced the GY's with Michelin AS and it was still close enough to pfadt specs, tech said leave it alone
09 w 17,000 miles.

I strongly recommend that the 4 wheel alignment be done at a reliable shop such as a GM dealer. With a GM dealer, you have recourse in any State, if done incorrectly. I bought 4 new Michelin tires and the alignment was not done properly by a tire center (not a GM Dealer) in my region as an adjustment nut was left loose that resulted in premature tire wear (only 1,000 miles) on both rear tires.

I put the same Michelins on last year and had a full 4-wheel alignment done at the time because the OEM F1's had worn poorly in the front. Toe-in and camber were off and steering wheel was not centered.
Perfect now!
If your car tracks well and your tires look good at 13k you are probably ok.

"In honor of jpee"
nope, had lots of alignments. why? because the thought of wearing out my tires prematurely doesn't make my wallet feel good (even tho I know I spend some to get the alignments). it's also a good way to get the car up on a lift and have a very qualified c6 guy look at it with me.
was just up in philly, and rode in my friend's car all over town. I have no idea how he keeps it in one piece considering the condtion of the streets, highways and boulevards. I could HEAR some of the issues he had with the windows open. that's WITHOUT hitting any curbs, just driving.
