Default Hawaii totaled

In 1999 we were stationed in Hawaii at MCBH. We were going Christmas shopping across the H3 to Pearl Harbor after dark. Came up behind a car and as soon as we pulled out there was a spare tire in the road. No way to avoid it, took out everything under the car, totaled out my 82. October of last year going to Florida a pickup ahead of me lost a Igloo cooler out the back. We had the top down and I could have reached up and touched it as it flew over.

I agree with you on that. If someone stays next to me, I speed up or slow down.

Bouncing firewood on the interstate. Punched a hole in the bumper and took out the grill. $1150 in damage. The odd part is, State Farm covered it as comprehensive. They said if I had run over it, it would have been a collision. Go figure.

That's not the weirdest thing I've ever hit in a car though. Got the owl and the possum at the same time. Really strange....
I think you got the high score

Road gator with my 08. Damaged the rt fog light area and the plastic behind it. Also broke the right bottom bumper tab so it had to be replaced. Also forced off the road by a Toyota and bent the right two rims ($1000 for those).

Not sure what I ran over in my C4 back in the eighties but it shredded a rear tire and the tire shreds ripped the wheel well liner up. Not fun putting on the spare on an urban freeway shoulder with traffic speeding by at 70 mph+.

While tailgating some slow-***, old-timer in a 4x4 pickup, riding the left lane after pissing away some of his pension at a Casino in Oklahoma; I hit a Semi-truck mud flap with a quarter inch, diamond pattern, steel, U-shape appendage at 65mph. It killed my bumper, some AC tubes, the water scoop (I mean Veeram), and made a slow coolant leak.

Once I got back going, I tried to find and thank the semi that left that gift for me. Unfortunately, I had no such luck.

What do I do during the repair...... opt for something lower.

Everyone loves pictures, so here you go.
Cut off about half of the size of that welded metal piece and its about right.

PLUS my car makes thus:
