I recently had the replace the #1 key fob for my 2008 coupe, and the dealer reset the programming. Now every time I start the car I have to push the 1 button on the car door to get the seats and other accessories to return to the #1 position. This used to happen automatically when I started the car. I've tried to set everything to the way I want it then press and hold the #1 button on the door until I hear the chime, but it still doesn't remember the settings.
Does anyone have a clue as to what I should do to get the car to recognise and memorize the #1 fob settings?
sounds like they added fob as #3 using the short add only method. you can add #3 & #4 to the car but they dont have memory capability, only #1 & #2 does. my bet is that you will have to do the long programming method. it erases all fobs and then you program in (in the order you want them) all the fobs you have. the long method is... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-c...tructions.html

thats exactly what dealer did. They just added the fob and it went in as #3.
As mentioned you will need to delete all and reprogram.
Thanks gents.. I figured as much. I hate it when I dealer doesn't do the job correctly. All that said, I now am unable to enter the programming mode as listed in the thread. I may have to take into a different dealer and see if they can use a Tech II on it to get it done right.
