The cooling fan on my 2005 has stopped working. The fuse is good. Can anyone help in trouble shooting an inoperative fan motor? Any common issues to check?
look at connector, take it apart and see if it looks burnt. Hook Multi meter to it to see if its putting out 12 volts. mine look and seemed fine and had voltage but still work sparatically so they changed the connector fan and harnness under warranty.

More than likely it's the middle wire of the connecting plug from fan module to the wiring harness. If so, you can just pull the center wire out and bypass connector/splice together or replace old connector with new.
There's a fairly recent thread in C6 Tech regarding this. I posted a link where to purchase a new connector. They are about $40 shipped.

I got the whole shabang for free so if still under warranty Id go that route, if not then Id do your way. They were pretty sure it was the connector too which is why the replaced it which came with the harness. Im not complaining on getting all new stuff. But since his a 2005 then your way is probably the best, thats why I suggested using a multimeter to test connector for voltage and impedance.
