Went to one of the local dealers to check out a 2013 GS and a Z06. The GS was black it had about 6 scratches some almost 2' long in the clear coat and water spots all over it. The price was 71k. One of the salesman tells me it will buff out. That should have been done before it was put on the sales floor. What a shame to display this car that way.The Z06 was white and roped off so i could not get close enough to check the finish. The Z06 was 88k.
Don't understand a dealer putting a new car out for sale with damage. First impressions count and the scratches on a 70+K car is totally un acceptable. If you saw it in their service area pending a fix OK but show room is strange. The sales guy will say almost anything to get a sale so discount his comment that it will buff out unless he was a body guy in another life.
Have to wonder if they really were scratches. Sometimes built up dirt can look like a scratch. Either way, I agree, should have been fixed before hitting the showroom floor.
The scratches were real. I watched him rub one with his thumb and he was adding more scrathes till i told him to stop.
Man, you're ruining all his fun!
They roped off the Z06? Why, was it going to run out of its paddock? Some dealers are so far off the wall . . . Thankfully, the dealers hereabouts practically grab your collar and throw you in the driver's seat with the fob. SCAT!
They want to sell the danged cars, not idolize them.
