Same for me. I finally bought my 70 454 Coupe. Awesome Vette, terrible quality and couldn't hold a candle to my 07 I loved the style and the performance. My avatar is a the only picture I have.

Although I have never owned one, the C3 is what started my love affair for Vettes. I vowed to have a Corvette by the time I was thirty. Well, it took me an extra fifteen years but at 45 bought my first C6.

As a kid, I always loved the 63-67's for looks. I remember we used to go to Bloomington Gold every year (back when it was actually in Bloomington) and I would drool over those cars. I knew I would have one someday. My first one came at 32, it was a 50th anniversary convertible. I was absolutely in love with the color scheme. I drove the wheels off that car.

Now I am (im)patiently waiting for my 13 GS vert to get built next month. I imagine it will be the best so far.

The one I miss the most is my green 1970 convertible, which I bought new in '70. Drove the tires off of in the Chicago area - summer and winter. It helped me catch the eye of a girl which then became my wife. She loved the car (and thought I was rich ). It must have worked well since we just had our 40th anniversary on July 1st.

I gotta tell you, my 2011 Z06/Z07 is amazing, however the one that does/did it for me is the '67, 427 tri-power, vert, yellow with black interior, stinger and top!

My fist Vette was a 1979 L82 auto that I drove as my DD from 1982 - 1985. It was a nice car, but my 2008 & 2009 C6s are way more exciting to drive. I wish I had taken the chance to get a C2 back when they were affordable, but I was doing the Brit car thing w/MGs, A/Hs, Triumphs......
Enjoy,

White '69 ...lost it in the divorce.

White '92 as a quick replacement. I made sure I revved it real hard when I went by the ex's.

My current '07 is my favorite.

In 1973 I bought a '67 427, 4sp roadster. The car tripped my trigger big time, and still does. I like the modern capability of my '99 FRC and how the FRC is a bit raw, but the old school '67 still lights my fire every time I slip behind the wheel. If it only got 30 mpg all would be cool.

Same here except I got a 72 coupe 454 LS-5 engine with Turbo 400 auto trans. Car was a monster and heavy. Lots of torque and lots of engine heat. I loved the T-top with the rear window that was removeable. Last year of the front and rear chrome bumpers and removeable rear window.
Didn't need heater but it didn't work anyway. But the air conditioner worked which is a must.

I want the performance and looks of my C6 but with my 80s sidepipes I had installed. There was nothing like the rumble of the side exhaust combined with 550rwhp and awesome gas mileage.

Alway's fond of sidepipes myself (we knew them as "lakepipes"). Aside from any added perfomance, they just looked cool.
