Default Verts Up-down Top Switch?

Any chance anyone has replaced the up-down switch for the power top to a one touch type switch? I'm thinking it would be nice not to have to hold the switch for the entire time the top is either going up or coming down....

I don't mind holding the switch. And, in case something goes wrong you can STOP it. IMO

Bravo, sure hope this can be done and I'd add it as soon as it is discovered. Anyone who says "I like holding the button" just cannot relate to much. If it is going down or up and there's a "serious-problem" with the movement, then just push the button to stop it -before it kills you!!!

With all the small problems like unemployment, deficits, cities going bankrupt and Iran going nuclear, it really is a huge pain to have to hold a button down for 18 seconds to put the convertible top up and down on my shiny silver convertible Corvette. I live with it, but it bothers me every day.....

I simply love to continually touch her when she's going down or up over my head. Call me weird, but I like being in control of my top at all times.

I looked for a suitable replacement switch when Thrash posted a similar thread awhile back.

The problem with replacing the switch is getting one that fits and looks nice. I couldn't find any, and I searched a pretty big data-base.

However, you could use the OEM switch to control a latching relay that operates the top/etc.

I would be afraid the top could jam/malfunction (unlikely, I know) and you wouldn't be able to react quickly enough to prevent additional damage.

I would skip on that "upgrade".

Gosh, some folks here are merciless! People ripped me a new one when I wanted a one touch "window up" feature. I still want the one touch up on both sides!

I think the BCM might pose a problem.

If there was something that was plug and play I would interested, but if I had to fabricate something I would pass, as your asking for trouble.

Maybe one of our CF vendors will read this an come up with something that can be easily installed, till then..........

Me too! One touch up and nice, I'm used too in all other vehicles I have.
