Default vert top
why is the top leaving black lines on my paint
when i put the top down i see 2 black lines
on the humps of the water fall what is the fix
for this? thanks m kraz

Unfortunately it is normal. It is being caused by the sun screen fabric part of the top that lays on top of it. Also, when I put my top up and down, I have to pull the back of the top just a little so that the tonneau clears it

My 07 vert did that too.

I have a 2007 Yellow vert and I get the same thing after a priod of time. Rubbing compound takes it righ off though. My roof has also just started hitting the part just above the waterfall when I open and close the roof. I don't remember it doing it before...if I put the passenger seat up it doesn't do it.

just wait until the headliner gets caught in the top frame above the side windows, then your really gonna get pissed off.

Not sure if it normal. Mine does it too but I know a few of the verts that do not have such issue. An expert suggested that during factory painting the top was put down too soon and the paint on the tounuer cover did not cure properly.

I have used Wolfgang swirl remover compound and an orbital polisher but any polishing compound or rubbing compound will work.
