Default Dyno Tune ?

looking for some experience here.

So i am new here, just purchased my Z06-2006.
The guy i purchases it from put a Borla Exhaust and a Hurricane intake and claims he Dyno Tuned the car and it produced 563HP.
He did not produce a sheet, "it was a while back and doesn't have it"

Is that number even reasonable for RWHP? He can't possibly be stating that he removed the engine and Dynoed it and got those numbers at the flywheel.

thoughts?

You have a better chance of seeing god than you do getting those kind of numbers at the wheels by just changing the exhaust & CAI.

Maybe he meant to say 463rwhp? All kidding aside. You can make those numbers easily naturally aspirated with a good head/cam package, intake, exhaust and tune, but not with those mods.

yeah thats why i asked, i been reading around here and noticed some heavy mod combo and numbers are around 563 rwhp....

So there no why mine with only Exhaust and Intake was making the same.

Don't get me wrong, i love my Z06, and it feels like a beast to me... but it was a bit of false advertising to sell it... so i wrote him an email.....

I would ask him where he had it tuned, maybe they remember the car.

That kind of number would more than likely be crank horsepower. And even then that is a high number. Cold air, exhaust and tune would be a stretch at a 40 horsepower increase over the factory crank horsepower of 505.

On another note. You have a 427 Z06. That thing truely is a beast. Drive it , baby it, and enjoy the hell out of it.

Default Drive train loss.

From flywheel HP you will get a 15% loss for drivetrain loss, this is the normal loss used by most for RWHP.
